The Bright Meadows Solar Project (the “Project”) is a proposed 15.7-MWac solar farm. The Project is located on a single parcel in central Alberta, within The County of Wetaskiwin No. 10, approximately 6 km east of the village of Ma-Me-O Beach (quarter section SE-29-46-27-4). The Project will contain roughly 31,000 solar panels mounted on rows of single-axis trackers covering about 92 total acres of marginal grazing land, approved by the Alberta Ministry of Environment and Protected Areas (AEPA) for its mitigation measures and minimal impact on habitat and wildlife.
